Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between The Cabbage Snatcher (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Arthur Pendragon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, The Cabbage Snatcher!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Arthur Pendragon!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Robert Douchet and Alec Ball.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Pendragon is defended easily by Snatcher.
Snatcher tries to clinch up but Pendragon circles away and keeps his distance.
Snatcher moves in looking to clinch but Pendragon pushes him off.
Snatcher shoots in for a double leg but Pendragon sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Snatcher wants to clinch.
Pendragon scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!


It looks like The Cabbage Snatcher has been cut.
Pendragon lands with a nice combination. Snatcher backs away looking to recover.
Pendragon lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!


Snatcher is rocked!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Pendragon tries to grapple but his opponent circles

and Snatcher counters by clinching up.
Oh Snatcher is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Pendragon breaks the clinch.
Snatcher seems to have got his legs back now.
Some wild striking there from Pendragon.

Pendragon is looking to escape.
Snatcher wants to free his trapped foot but Pendragon is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Snatcher has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Snatcher wants to take a breather but Pendragon is having none of it.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Pendragon tries to clinch up but Snatcher circles away and keeps his distance.
Snatcher tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
A cross from Pendragon lands.
Pendragon doesn't manage to clinch there - Snatcher circles away.
A jab from Snatcher misses.
Arthur Pendragon seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Snatcher.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Snatcher prevents Pendragon from escaping the position.

Snatcher stands up.

and Pendragon counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Snatcher thinking.

Pendragon decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Snatcher wants to control but Pendragon is keeping busy and won't allow it.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for The Cabbage Snatcher. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Pendragon swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and Snatcher counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Pendragon has momentary wrist control but Snatcher slips an elbow through the middle.
Pendragon is trying to control the position but Snatcher postures up.
Snatcher tries to free his leg and advance position but Pendragon is retaining full guard.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Snatcher seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

That was a close round but I would say that The Cabbage Snatcher will probably get the nod.

Snatcher closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Pendragon did well to prevent Snatcher getting side control.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Snatcher is pressing down on Pendragon's thigh, looking to free his foot. Pendragon is holding on for now.
Snatcher wants to control but Pendragon is keeping him busy.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Pendragon thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Snatcher will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

That's time! Back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Pendragon wants to control the pace but Snatcher is squirming around nicely.
Snatcher is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Snatcher is trying desperately to improve position.
Snatcher wants to control but Pendragon is having none of it.
Pendragon takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Pendragon wants to stand but Snatcher has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.

Snatcher makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!

Pendragon is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Snatcher closes the distance and clinches.
Snatcher takes an elbow to the temple.
Snatcher looking to throw knees to the head but Pendragon is blocking nicely.

Snatcher gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.

Pendragon pushes Snatcher off but Snatcher dives into side control.

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
Pendragon is not content to let Snatcher control the position.
Pendragon is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Snatcher asserts his dominance and retains side control.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Snatcher controls the position from side control.

The referee stands the fighters back up. The Cabbage Snatcher just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.

Snatcher shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Arthur Pendragon has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Snatcher is working for a submission of some sort.

The Cabbage Snatcher showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Snatcher, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
