And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Camerino Fernandez!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Yukihiro Shimada and Sosuke Kotani.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fernandez with a nice cross.
Camerino Fernandez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Fernandez slips a jab from Katsuragi.
Katsuragi gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Katsuragi tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Katsuragi shoots in looking for a takedown. Fernandez tries to sprawl out of it but Katsuragi keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the ropes. Fernandez manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Fernandez lands with a straight right. Katsuragi didn't see that one coming.
Fernandez tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Katsuragi was well out of range. Poor timing from Fernandez.
Katsuragi throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Katsuragi gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Fernandez jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.

Katsuragi wants to clinch up but Fernandez keeps it at a distance.

Fernandez throws a right and a left that Katsuragi avoids nicely.
Fernandez works Katsuragi's body with a nice hook.

Camerino Fernandez is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Katsuragi tries to clinch up but Fernandez circles away and keeps his distance.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Fernandez lands a lovely overhand right.

Fernandez is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Katsuragi had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Katsuragi is defended easily by Fernandez.
Katsuragi on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Fernandez wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Katsuragi tries to bum rush Fernandez with a series of wild strikes but Fernandez uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Katsuragi fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kenny Katsuragi. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Fernandez's corner calls for a 1-2. Fernandez obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Fernandez connects with a jab and follows up with a big overhand right! Oh that's hurt Katsuragi! He's out on his feet! Fernandez rushes in and drops Katsuragi with another big right hand, forcing the referee to stop the fight!
