Martyn is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Live For The Moment. Thomas Martyn is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Madden shoots for a double leg takedown but Martyn sprawls well. He's pushed Madden's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Madden throws a hook but Martyn blocks it.
Martyn moves out of range of the body kick from Madden.

Martyn has Madden up against the cage in a clinch.
Madden being controlled against the cage.
Madden tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Martyn just stands there and leans against the cage.

Martyn has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Madden is trying to keep an underhook but Martyn manages to get the takedown into half guard.
Madden is not content to let Martyn control the position.
Martyn moves into full mount! Madden won't be happy about that!
Madden wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.
Martyn lands with some strikes.
Madden keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

Madden is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Martyn stands up from mount. Strange move.

Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Martyn. Madden shrugs it off though.
A solid leg kick lands there for Martyn.
Madden is breathing heavily.
Madden tries to grapple but his opponent circles

and Martyn counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Madden is looking to stand back up but Martyn counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Madden.

Martyn looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Martyn wants to lay and pray for a moment but Madden keeps working.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Martyn is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
Madden tries to reverse the position but Martyn maintains control.

Martyn jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Madden manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Madden looking for a sweep but Martyn has passed into full mount! Oh no!

Madden is in all sorts of trouble here.

Madden flailing away with punches but nothing is landing.

Martyn throws some shoulder strikes here and then postures up. Oh, he's gone for an armbar! Madden has his hands clasped together but Martyn breaks the hold and Madden is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over! That was lightning fast by Martyn!
