Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Josh Damon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Martin Simunek (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Simunek's choice of entrance music: Testament - True Believer. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Damon fails with a takedown attempt.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Simunek fails to land with a series of punches.
Damon shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Simunek as he avoids it easily.
Horrible takedown by Damon or perhaps it was just good defense by Simunek which made him look bad.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Josh Damon. That's going to take a lot out of him.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Simunek stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Simunek wants it to stay on the feet.
