Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Arthur Sleep (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Josh Hibbert (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Hibbert's choice of entrance music: The Used- Taste of Ink. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Arthur Sleep!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Josh Hibbert!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Andrew Berry and Richard Clark.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sleep lands with a good body shot.
Hibbert checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Sleep throws a leg kick but Hibbert checks it.
Sleep thumps Hibbert with a low kick.
Sleep scores with a hook.
A punch combination from Sleep misses.
A chopping leg kick lands by Sleep.
Sleep lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Sleep.
Sleep scores with a jab to the head.

Hibbert shoots in and bounces Sleep off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Hibbert stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Sleep swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Hibbert thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Hibbert postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Hibbert passes Sleep's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Hibbert seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Hibbert's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Despite being in the dominant position, Josh Hibbert just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Sleep looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Sleep throws and low kick but Hibbert moves out of range easily.
Sleep scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Hibbert slips a jab and a cross from Sleep.
Arthur Sleep seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hibbert avoids a punch combination nicely.
Sleep scoring well with a low kick there.
Sleep throws a right hand that Hibbert ducks under and follows up with a left that Hibbert also avoids with ease.
Sleep misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Hibbert shoots in for a takedown but Sleep shows good takedown defense.
Sleep misses with a wild combination.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Sleep moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Sleep fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Hibbert checks it well.
Sleep fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Hibbert is out of range.
Sleep throws and low kick but Hibbert moves out of range easily.
Sleep throws a leg kick but Hibbert sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Hibbert takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Hibbert throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Sleep's waist but Sleep gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Hibbert off to one side.
Sleep lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
A nice leg kick lands there from Sleep.
Sleep works over Hibbert's head and body with a nice combination.
Hibbert on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Hibbert slips a jab and a cross from Sleep.
Sleep ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Hibbert moves away.

Sleep misses with a series of wild punches.
Sleep connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Sleep throws the kick towards the body but Hibbert avoids it.
Sleep fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Hibbert manages to avoid it.
Sleep lands with a straight right. Hibbert didn't see that one coming.
Sleep throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Hibbert.
Hibbert shoots for a takedown but Sleep saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Arthur Sleep has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Josh Hibbert.

Arthur Sleep is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Hibbert is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Sleep can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Hibbert looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.

Sleep's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

Sleep knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Hibbert on the ground.

Sleep fails to land with a series of punches.
Sleep thows a body shot but no joy.
Hibbert fails with a takedown attempt.
Hibbert takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
A nice inside leg kick there by Sleep. That's going to slow Hibbert down.
Sleep misses with a jab, cross combination.
Sleep closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Hibbert fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
A right-left combo lands from Sleep.
Sleep lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Sleep will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Hibbert trying to control the action but Sleep is working from the bottom.
Sleep wants to get back to his feet but Hibbert drags him back down.
A lull in the action here as Hibbert stalls from top position.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Let's hope that Hibbert has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Sleep regains half guard, as Hibbert was trying to land strikes.
Josh Hibbert has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Arthur Sleep is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Sleep avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Hibbert.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Arthur Sleep.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Sleep, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
