Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tenaka Takahashi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ace Heart (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Takahashi's entrance music is Get Down - Captain Tinrib. A fine choice. Heart has chosen Metallica - St. Anger as his entrance music. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tenaka Takahashi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ace Heart!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Tiny Johnson and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Heart tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Heart throws a sloppy head kick and Takahashi moves out of range easily.
Heart misses with a hook.
Heart throws a quick inside leg kick.
Heart buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Heart fails with a takedown attempt.
Takahashi dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Heart. That did some damage!
Heart closes the distance and clinches up with Takahashi, looking for a takedown. Heart pushes Takahashi against the cage but Takahashi circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Heart pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Heart throws a leg kick but Takahashi sees it coming and moves out of range.

and Takahashi counters with a one-two to the body.

and Takahashi counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
It looks like Ace Heart has been cut.

Heart shoots for a double leg takedown but Takahashi sprawls well. He's pushed Heart's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

and Takahashi counters with a nice low kick that buckles Heart's knee momentarily.
Takahashi throws a nice looking combination but Heart bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Ace Heart seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Heart feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Takahashi's calf.

and Takahashi counters with a low kick, right behind Heart 's knee.

and Takahashi counters with a body kick.
Heart looks gassed!
Takahashi lands with an uppercut that bounces Heart off the cage and back into rage.
Takahashi connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Takahashi throws a leg kick but Heart moved away.
Takahashi lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

and Takahashi counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Takahashi feints and then cracks Heart's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Heart down.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Heart is defended easily by Takahashi.
Takahashi's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Takahashi duly obliges.
Heart is still on wobbly legs! Can Takahashi finish him?
Takahashi lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Heart seems to have recovered his senses.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Heart takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.

Heart shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Takahashi sprawls well. Takahashi wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Heart gets slowly back to his feet.

Takahashi cracks Heart with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Takahashi slips a jab from Heart.
Heart throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Heart takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Takahashi keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Heart.
Heart has a takedown stuffed.
Heart tries to score a power double leg takedown but Takahashi sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Heart somewhat.
Tenaka Takahashi has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ace Heart.
Takahashi lands a left and a right that send Heart crashing to the mat, dazed. Takahashi thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Takahashi closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Heart! Takahashi dives in looking to finish! Heart is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!
