PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Alexander Barzakov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Amir Zukic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Barzakov comes to the cage accompanied by Alexander The Great by Iron Maiden. The crowd seem to be enjoying Zukic's choice of entrance music: 50 cent - Many man. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Barzakov shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Zukic working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Barzakov doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Barzakov manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
A nice inside leg kick there by Zukic. That's going to slow Barzakov down.

Amir Zukic seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Barzakov shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Zukic sprawls well. Zukic wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Barzakov gets slowly back to his feet.

Zukic does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Good leg kick by Zukic there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Zukic is looking to chop away at Barzakov's legs.

Oh but Zukic is tightening it up a little... Barzakov has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Barzakov reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Barzakov taps out! nice BJJ there by Zukic!
