Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Olivier Bouleau (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Ytlear (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bouleau comes to the cage accompanied by kevin rudolf - let it rock. Ytlear has chosen Necrophobic - The Third Antichrist as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. The key to victory for Olivier Bouleau has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 7 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, James Ytlear!
The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Damien Edna and Skip Squint.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bouleau scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Ytlear manages to get to full guard.

Bouleau is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Ytlear working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Bouleau doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Bouleau manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Ytlear is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Bouleau drops back looking for a leg! Ytlear is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Ytlear manages to kick Bouleau off! Bouleau jumps back into Ytlear's guard.
Ytlear wants to sweep here but Bouleau controlling him for the moment.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Bouleau drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Bouleau jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Ytlear is looking for a triangle but Bouleau pushes his legs off easily.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Bouleau shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Ytlear defends it nicely.

Bouleau has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Ytlear clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Bouleau doesn't have the hooks in and Ytlear manages to turn into his guard.

Ytlear perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

Ytlear takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Ytlear wants to work for an arm triangle but Bouleau is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Bouleau is staying active underneath Ytlear, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

James Ytlear dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Ytlear fails with an attempt to clinch.

Ytlear closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Bouleau works his way to full guard. Good work.

You can see the frustration on Bouleau's face as Ytlear controls the position.
Ytlear has knee on belly and moves into mount.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Bouleau is trying to escape the mount but Ytlear keeps good control and instead manages to take Bouleau's back.
Ytlear keeps control of the position easily here as Bouleau tries to buck him off.

Bouleau rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.

Ytlear in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Bouleau tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Ytlear!
