Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Baby Jay (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Robert Nester (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Robert Nester told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Baby Jay!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Bruno Hogan and Donatello Bradman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jay tries to bum rush Nester with a series of wild strikes but Nester uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Baby Jay seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jay is looking to clinch.
Jay avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Jay scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Jay takes a kick to the side of the head.
Jay swats away the attempt to clinch by Nester.
Nester throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Jay avoids the head kick by Nester.
Nester misses the jab.
Jay misses with a straight left.
Nester ducks under a wild hook from Jay.

Nester throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Jay throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Nester stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Nester is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Jab by Jay.
Nester shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Jay as he jumps to the side.
Nester throws a body punch but Jay moves out of range.
Jay pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Jay takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Jay avoids the head kick by Nester.
Nester takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Jay lands a right hook to the body.
Jay fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Nester manages to avoid it.
The crowd cheers as Jay lands an impressive looking overhand right. Nester doesn't seem phased though.
Jay throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Nester was covering up waiting for the punch and Jay finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Nester looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Jay passes into half guard.
Jay is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Jay is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Nester is just riding it out for now. Jay eventually gives up the hold.

Nester is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Jay pulls his head out easily.

Jay is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Nester defends it well.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Jay moves into range and clinches up with Nester.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Jay goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Jay tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Jay jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Nester walks away with a smile on his face. Jay gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.
Nester moves out of range of the leg kick from Jay.
Nester scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.

Jay connects with a good right hand that stumbles Nester. Nester circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Jay avoids the head kick by Nester.
Nester throws a sloppy head kick and Jay moves out of range easily.

A punch lands to the side of Nester 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Nester moves away from the strike by Jay.
Nester throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.

Nester is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Jay.

Jay is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Nester is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Jay wants to sweep here but Nester controlling him for the moment.
Jay is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Nester defends well.
Nester is pushing down on Jay's leg trying to pass to half guard. Jay is fighting to maintain full guard but Nester has managed to sneak the leg through.
Jay might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Nester is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Jay, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
