The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Fortune clinches up against the cage.
Fortune scores with an uppercut up the middle.
Fortune lands a body shot.
Tanaka misses with a body punch.
Fortune digs a right hand into Tanaka's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Tanaka's gas tank.
Fortune is trying to break the clinch but Tanaka is controlling him.

Tanaka has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Fortune uses from the top position.

Tanaka is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Fortune really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Tanaka. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Tanaka is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Tanaka is breathing heavily.

Fortune kicks Tanaka off and gets back to his feet.
Tanaka avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

It looks like Teruki Tanaka has been cut.
Fortune swings for the body but Tanaka moves out of range.

Fortune steps into range and cracks Tanaka with a monster punch that buckles his knees! Tanaka flops backwards and Fortune dives into his guard looking to finish!

Tanaka is rocked!

Fortune stands up from Tanaka's guard - Fortune perhaps looking for a knockout.
Oh Tanaka is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Fortune lands a brutal uppercut that launches Tanaka off his feet! Tanaka tumbles to the floor, barely conscious - the referee jumps in to save him from a beating! Wow, what an ending!
