The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Polliver misses with a two punch combination.
Polliver tries to clinch but zinger is having none of it.
Graham Polliver seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
zinger shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Polliver but Polliver pushes him off and we're back to square one.
A lazy left from Polliver finds it's target.
Polliver leaves zinger with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
zinger closes this distance looking for a takedown but Polliver circles away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ahmad zinger. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Polliver wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

zinger can't seem to implement his control oriented gameplan at the moment. That's no bad thing of course, for those of us who want to see a good fight.
