The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Choi throws a push kick but Fengap slaps the foot to one side.
Kim Lee Choi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Choi misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Fengap displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Choi.
Fengap slips under a jab.
Choi scores with a head kick.
Choi throws a half hearted mid kick.

Fengap darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

Fengap is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Fengap is looking for a kimura but Choi is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Fengap to get the leverage.

Fengap seems to be working for a kimura but Choi defends the submission attempt.

Fengap is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Choi on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Choi tries to get out of the position.

Fengap is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Choi is just riding it out for now. Fengap eventually gives up the hold.

Fengap looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Choi is staying active underneath Fengap, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

and Fengap decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Choi's guard.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Choi knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Fengap on the ground.

Fengap drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Choi dives on top into guard.
Choi wants to get up but he can't break Fengap's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Choi got a little sloppy there for a moment and Fengap has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Choi has managed to get both his arms back between Fengap's legs - danger averted.
Choi has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Choi is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Fengap is working Choi over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Choi is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Fengap is controlling him.
Fengap pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Choi is keeping the position for now.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Good leg kick by Choi there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Choi lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
Choi tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Fengap was well out of range. Poor timing from Choi.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Choi throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Choi scoring well with a low kick there.
Fengap moves out of range of the body kick from Choi.
Choi tries a head kick but it misses.
Fengap blocks the body kick.
Choi throws a sloppy head kick and Fengap moves out of range easily.
Choi thows a body shot but no joy.

Choi gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Fengap to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Fengap stands and throws Choi's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Fengap tries to advance to mount but can't.

Fengap goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Choi has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Fengap but great work by Choi.
Fengap sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Fengap is trying to get back to full guard.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Fengap is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

Fengap is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Choi pulls his head out easily.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Choi tries to stand but his arm is trapped.
Fengap works his way to full guard. Good work.

Mustaf Fengap showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Fengap is on top in guard.
