The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gomi tries to bum rush Daley with a series of wild strikes but Daley uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Daley has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.

It looks like Paul Daley has been cut.

Gomi throws a series of punches but Daley avoids them all with ease.
Gomi throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Daley stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Gomi tries to pull guard but Daley holds him up against the ropes and eventually Gomi drops back down to his feet.

Gomi lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Daley throws a right hand that Gomi ducks under and follows up with a left that Gomi also avoids with ease.
Gomi lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Gomi.

and Daley makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Gomi really felt that one!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Gomi drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Gomi seems to have locked his on tight now - Daley screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Gomi, as he picks up the win!
