Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tauno Tasalakki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pasi Ruohonen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tasalakki moves out of range of the strikes.
Ruohonen steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Tasalakki. That one must have hurt.
Ruohonen is looking to land body kicks.
Ruohonen fakes the leg kick and cracks Tasalakki in the body.
Tauno Tasalakki seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Tasalakki lands a slapping body shot.
Tasalakki throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Tasalakki throws a hook to the side of Ruohonen's head but Ruohonen sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Ruohonen throws a solid leg kick but Tasalakki takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Ruohonen.
Tasalakki misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Tasalakki connects with a body shot.

Tasalakki throws a body punch but Ruohonen moves out of range.
Ruohonen goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Tasalakki shoots in for a double leg but Ruohonen sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Tasalakki fails with a takedown attempt.
Ruohonen misses with a low kick.
Tasalakki misses with a hook. Ruohonen ducked under it nicely.
Ruohonen stalks Tasalakki and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Tasalakki's face. Tasalakki staggers backwards, shaken.

It looks like Tauno Tasalakki has been cut.

Tasalakki swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Ruohonen makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Tasalakki fails in his attempt to clinch.
Tasalakki looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Ruohonen is fending him off so far but Tasalakki persists. Nope, Ruohonen circles away and we're back to standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tauno Tasalakki. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Ruohonen rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Tasalakki moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Ruohonen will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Ruohonen checks a leg kick.
Tasalakki shoots in looking for a takedown. Ruohonen tries to sprawl out of it but Tasalakki keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Ruohonen manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Tasalakki throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Tasalakki scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Tasalakki tries to score a power double leg takedown but Ruohonen sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Tasalakki somewhat.
Ruohonen throws a head kick that half lands.
Nice defenses there by Tasalakki.

Ruohonen instigates a clinch.

Tasalakki pulls Ruohonen into guard.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Tasalakki holds on and takes a little breather.
Ruohonen seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Ruohonen avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ruohonen lands a brutal head kick. Tasalakki looks out on his feet and Ruohonen throws more strikes until the ref is forced to stop the fight!
