StPierre comes to the cage accompanied by Break- Three Days Grace. Georges StPierre has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Minor fails with the takedown.
StPierre pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Minor avoids a kick to the body.
Minor throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around StPierre's waist but StPierre gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Minor off to one side.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

StPierre closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Minor has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. StPierre is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Minor.
StPierre sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Minor is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Minor is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and StPierre defends well.

StPierre fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Minor sprawls well initially but StPierre persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That was a close second round but I would say that Georges StPierre will probably get the nod.

StPierre bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Minor tries to bench press StPierre off him but StPierre keeps the position.
Minor is trying to control StPierre's posture but StPierre avoids it.
StPierre is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Minor's shoulder. That is not cool.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
