Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ryan Shot (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andrey Starikov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Starikov avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Starikov keeps the fight on the outside.
Nice sprawl there from Shot as Starikov shoots in.

Starikov shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Shot is refusing to be controlled, as Starikov sits in half guard.
Starikov missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
Starikov wants to take a breather but Shot is having none of it.
Shot is looking to improve his position.

Shot is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Starikov pulls his head out easily.
Starikov tries to pass to full mount but Shot defends it.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Shot shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Starikov is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Shot trying to control the position from guard on top but Starikov is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Shot wants to get up but he can't break Starikov's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Starikov is looking for a triangle but Shot pushes his legs off easily.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Shot trying to stand up but can't free himself from Starikov's guard.
Shot could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Shot closes the distance and clinches.
Starikov misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Shot.

Shot breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Shot tries to clinch up but Starikov circles away and keeps his distance.

and Starikov counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Shot is trying to stand back up but Starikov is controlling him
Starikov wants to free his trapped foot but Shot is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Starikov prevents Shot from improving his position.

Shot gets back to full guard.
Starikov trying to control the position from guard on top but Shot is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Shot wants to stand and escape but Starikov is having none of it.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Shot throws a head kick that half lands.

and Starikov counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Starikov goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
A kick lands to the mid section there for Shot.
Shot scores with the left hand. Starikov knows he should have avoided that one.

Shot shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Starikov napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Starikov tries to escape but Shot is in control.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
You can see the frustration on Starikov's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Shot in side control, just content to control the action for now.

Shot stands up and beckons Starikov to his feet.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Starikov throws a head kick that misses

and Shot counters with a shoot takedown. Starikov fights it but they end up in guard.
Starikov wants to sweep but no luck.

Shot gets to his feet - Starikov follows without any prompting.
Starikov shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Shot counters with a takedown into side control.

Shot is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Starikov has escaped the position, nice work there.
Starikov is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Shot wants to control but Starikov is keeping him busy.

Starikov is looking to get back to his feet here but Shot is keeping cool and he's managed to take Starikov's back.
Shot looking to soften up his opponent with punches.
Ryan Shot overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Starikov trying to control but he's just got himself in more trouble.
Starikov looking very determined here, making life difficult for Shot.

Starikov defending nicely against the rear naked choke attempt.
Starikov is covering up but some of the strikes from Shot are getting through and doing damage.
Shot is looking to finish with some ground and pound!
Starikov covers up after that shot from Shot.
Starikov is trying to get back to his feet but Shot has full control of the position and if anything, Starikov has just worked his way into a worse spot.

Shot has the hooks in and he's looking for a rear naked choke here. Starikov is defending well but eventually Shot manages to get an arm under the chin and he's locked on the RNC! Starikov has no choice but to tap now! He does! This one is all over!
