The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Dean Styles and Russell Pearce.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Derksen throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Banner.
Banner tries to bum rush Derksen with a series of wild strikes but Derksen uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Banner feints and then cracks Derksen's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Derksen down.
Derksen moves out of range of the strikes.
Derksen tries to close the distance and clinch but Banner swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Banner connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
It looks like Byron Derksen has been cut.

That was a close round but I would say that Byron Derksen will probably get the nod.

Derksen has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Banner clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Byron Derksen is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Derksen lands with a couple of good shots - one to the side of the head and one questionable shot that could be viewed as to the back of the head but the referee lets it go.
And that's the end of the fight!

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Derksen, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
