PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Justin Fox (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and JimJim Song (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fox comes into the arena with 2nd Round KO blaring out of the sound system. Song has chosen Bomb goes the dynomite as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Song really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Fox. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Song regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Fox.

Fox is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Fox drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Fox jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Fox moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.

Fox shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Fox showed some decent athleticism there.
Song is trying to maintain the position but Fox is very close to passing his half guard.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Song is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Fox with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Song bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Fox's guard.

Fox can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Song is looking to escape.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

JimJim Song's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
