And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Maximilian Maximus!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Frank Dennis and Robert Twigg.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hampsted misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Maximus rushes Hampsted and presses him up against the cage.

Hampsted goes for a takedown in the clinch but Maximus prevents it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jarad Hampsted. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Maximus is pressed up against the cage. Hampsted has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Maximus down to the mat. Maximus avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Maximus keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Hampsted keeps the fight on the outside.
Maximus lands a head kick!

Maximus rushes Hampsted and presses him up against the cage.
Maximus prevents a takedown attempt there.
Hampsted is working for takedown but Maximus is calmly controlling the position for now.

Maximus drops Hampsted with a big knee straight up the middle! Hampsted is covering up against the cage but manages to escape and gets back to his feet!

It looks like Jarad Hampsted has been cut.
Hampsted is breathing heavily.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Maximus gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Hampsted changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Maximus fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Maximus dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Hampsted. That did some damage!

Maximus has Hampsted up against the cage in a clinch.
Hampsted tries to score a body lock takedown but Maximus shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
The referee calls for Maximus to work.

Maximus will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Hampsted up against the cage.
