The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kierre blocks a jab.
Kierre misses with a low kick.
Thompson tries to bum rush Kierre with a series of wild strikes but Kierre uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Thompson thows a body shot but no joy.
Thompson throws a lazy right hand but Kierre sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Kierre throws a head kick but Thompson moves out of range.
Kierre misses the body punch
and Thompson counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Thompson looks to score with a jab to the body but Kierre is just out of range.
Thompson tests Kierre's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Kierre doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Thompson missing with a left hand there. Kierre was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Thompson lands a nice hook to Kierre's body. Kierre takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Kierre looks gassed!

Thompson bobbing and weaving well here. And he's unloaded with a massive right hand that drops Kierre! He dives into his guard looking to finish!
Thompson is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
