Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ronnie Ross (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Demaj Jacare (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ross kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genuis that is MVP-Ludacris. Ronnie Ross has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ronnie Ross!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Demaj Jacare!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Alec Ball and Robert Douchet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jacare blocks a jab.
Ross throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Ross throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
The fight stays on the outside here - Ross looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Jacare moves out of range of the strikes.
Ross misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Some bone on bone action there as Jacare checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Ronnie Ross seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jacare keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Ross.
Ross misses with a wild body shot.
Ross will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Jacare bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Jacare avoids the head kick by Ross.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Ross doesn't manage to clinch there - Jacare circles away.
Jacare scores with a kick to the midsection.

Jacare rushes Ross and presses him up against the cage.

Ross has hold of one of Jacare's legs. Jacare is fighting the takedown attempt but Ross gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
Jacare pulls Ross in to control the position.
Jacare has a closed guard, preventing Ross from standing up.

Ross wants to pass the guard but Jacare is keeping the position.

Ross stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Ross is breathing heavily.

Jacare closes the distance and clinches.
Jacare tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Jacare breaks from the clinch.

Jacare has managed to clinch.
Jacare throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Ross blocks it with crossed arms.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Jacare.

Jacare lands a takedown into guard.

Jacare thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Ross wants to get back to his feet but Jacare is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Jacare decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Jacare thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Ross if he has to take too many more of those.
Ross looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Jacare is fending him off so far but Ross persists. Nope, Jacare circles away and we're back to standing.
Nice sprawl there from Jacare as Ross shoots in.
Jacare lands with a slapping head kick.
Ross shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Jacare as he avoids it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ronnie Ross. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Ross throws out a loose jab but Jacare uses good head movement to avoid it.
Ross darts in trying to clinch
and Jacare counters with a good low kick that Ross was not able to check.

Jacare is rocked!

It looks like Demaj Jacare has been cut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
It's a brutal combination of punches from Ross! Jacare is backing up but he can't get away as Ross lands with one final shot to the jaw that drops Jacare and ends the fight. Great knockout.
