Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Peter Pan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gabriel Dickson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Gabriel Dickson!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Frank Dennis and Wesley Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A jab from Dickson finds it's way through Pan's defenses.
Dickson misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Dickson looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Pan steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Dickson.
Pan blocks a jab.

Pan shoots in for a takedown and gets it.

Pan is working for a submission of some sort.

Dickson has guillotine here! It looks pretty tight! Could this be all over! No, Pan escapes and passes into side control at the same time. Nice work there by Pan!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Pan throws a strike aimed at the side of Dickson's head but Dickson avoids it well.

Pan decides to stand up, so the ref orders Dickson to his feet.
Nice shot lands for Dickson.

Pan scores with a head kick.

Pan drives through with a takedown into guard.
Pan trying to control the position from guard on top but Dickson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Dickson keeping moving, preventing Pan from controlling successfully.

Pan stands and steps away. Dickson gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Pan looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.

Dickson gets caught flat footed, as Pan shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Dickson is on top in guard.
Pan controlling the position.
Pan keeping moving, preventing Dickson from controlling successfully.
Pan wants to sweep but no luck.

Pan keeping full guard, as Dickson tries to pass.
Dickson wants to control from the top but Pan keeps moving.
Pan thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.

Pan pushes Dickson off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
Dickson works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.

Pan looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Dickson can't keep his opponent in guard - Pan advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Peter Pan dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Dickson misses with an uppercut. Pan saw that one coming.

Pan has managed to clinch.
Dickson has had enough of the clinch but Pan keeps him there for the moment.

Pan drags the fight down to the ground.

Pan looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Pan not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Pan is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Pan wants to sweep but no luck.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Pan manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Pan misses with a head kick.
The crowd cheers as Dickson lands an impressive looking overhand right. Pan doesn't seem phased though.

Pan scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Dickson wants to control but Pan is keeping busy.
Pan frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Dickson tries to control Pan's head but Pan pushes him back down and moves quickly to lock up an arm here - he's swung around for an armbar! Will he get it??? Yes! Dickson is tapping out! Lovely Jiu Jitsu there!
Dickson really wants to buck Pan off and get back to his feet.

Pan gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!

Pan changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Dickson looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Pan has knee on belly and moves into mount.
Pan misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.

Pan is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Dickson has managed to escape the submission attempt.

Peter Pan overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Pan trying to control but Dickson is having none of it.
Pan is landing with some decent strikes but Dickson is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Dickson is trying to escape the mount.

Pan stands up from mount. Strange move.

Pan fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Dickson sprawls well initially but Pan persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!


Dickson throws a hook to the side of Pan's head but Pan sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Dickson looks to land a right hand but Pan moved out of range.

and Pan decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Dickson's guard.
Pan wants to control from the top but Dickson keeps moving.

Pan stands up from Dickson's guard - Pan perhaps looking for a knockout.
Dickson swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Pan takes one to the chin there.
Gabriel Dickson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Pan scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Pan throws a strike aimed at the side of Dickson's head but Dickson avoids it well.
Dickson manages to get back to half guard.

Pan prevents Dickson from standing back up.
Pan trying to control from half guard but Dickson is working away.
Dickson is trying to get back to full guard.
Pan seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Pan looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Pan has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Pan seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Pan is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Dickson reverses the position - he's now on top in Pan's guard.

Pan looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Dickson lands a couple of digs.
Gabriel Dickson has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Dickson tries to free his leg and advance position but Pan is retaining full guard.

Pan wriggles free and stands up.

Pan has taken the fight to the clinch.
Pan prevents Dickson from breaking the clinch.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Pan manages to break the clinch.
Pan shoots in for a takedown but Dickson shows good takedown defense.
Dickson throws a big overhand right that connects, sending Pan tumbling to the canvas!


Pan is rocked!
Pan seems keen to control Dickson's posture.
Oh Pan is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Pan not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Dickson wants to stand but Pan is controlling his posture from full guard.
Pan seems to have got his legs back now.
Pan keeping full guard, as Dickson tries to pass.
Dickson trying to stand up but can't free himself from Pan's guard.

And that's the end of the fight!
Peter Pan showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Pan, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
