The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Uchido pushes Makuto up against the ropes in a clinch.

Uchido wants to stand but Makuto is controlling the position.

Makuto slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Makuto decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Uchido, up you get!
Makuto lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Kenji Makuto is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Makuto throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

The crowd cheers as Makuto lands an impressive looking overhand right. Uchido doesn't seem phased though.

No joy there for Makuto, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Makuto circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Uchido to the canvas! Uchido doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Makuto keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!
