Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Enrique Guerrero (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tyler Shamrock (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Guerrero comes to the cage accompanied by I Lie, I Cheat, I Steal. Shamrock is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Jimmy Eat World - Bleed American. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Guerrero misses with a low kick.

Guerrero got a little sloppy there for a moment and Shamrock has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Guerrero has managed to get both his arms back between Shamrock's legs - danger averted.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
A slow jab from Guerrero misses its intended target.
Guerrero looks to land a left hand but Shamrock moved out of range nicely.

Shamrock feints and as Guerrero raises his hands in defense, Shamrock changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Guerrero is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Guerrero throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Shamrock throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Guerrero was covering up waiting for the punch and Shamrock finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Guerrero stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Shamrock swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Shamrock has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Guerrero is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Shamrock.
