The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Starks throws a low kick, looking for Bungholz's leg but Bungholz calmly moves out of range.
A bone on bone clash there as Bungholz blocks the leg kick.

Bungholz scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Starks is trying to get back to full guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bungholz is looking to advance position but Starks won't allow it.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Bungholz is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

Starks looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.

Starks wants to get back to his feet.
Bungholz works his way into full mount!
Bungholz moves to take his opponent's back.

Bungholz is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Starks knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Starks for a finish.
Bungholz doesn't have the hooks in and Starks manages to turn into his guard.

Starks drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Starks jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Bungholz looking to hit a scissor sweep but Starks is one step ahead there.
Starks stands and throws Bungholz's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Starks is working to tighten is grip on Bungholz's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Bungholz has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Starks is really squeezing tight and eventually Bungholz passes out! Starks breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
