The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Collins tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Takahashi swivels and escapes.

Takahashi gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Collins to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Collins thows a big elbow that misses.
Collins sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Takahashi's guard.
Collins has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Collins is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Takahashi has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Takahashi!
Takahashi has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Takahashi stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Collins swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Takahashi wants to get up but he can't break Collins's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Takahashi got a little sloppy there for a moment and Collins has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Takahashi has managed to get both his arms back between Collins's legs - danger averted.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Takahashi looks to land a combination but Collins avoids it well.

Collins tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Collins has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
