The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Elvis Blanc and Yves DeLean.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Planety swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Planety misses with a head kick.
Planety looks to land a body kick but Emelianenko moved away.
A head kick misses from Emelianenko.

Emelianenko fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Planety, pushing him back against the cage.
Planety tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Emelianenko smiles and moves away.
Joe Planety seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Planety throws a lazy head kick
and Emelianenko counters with a series of strikes. Planety will be more careful next time no doubt.
Emelianenko lands with a big left! Planety is wobbled badly! Emelianenko comes in with a flurry of punches and drops Planety to the floor. The ref jumps in to save him from unneccessary punishment.
