The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones swings and misses with a hook to the body.

It looks like Angus Jones has been cut.
Santos cracks Jones with a right hand to the side of the head.
Pablo Santos seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Santos swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Jones.

Jones throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Santos sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Jones throws an overhand right that lands on Santos's shoulder, as Santos tries to avoid the shot.
Jones misses with a jab, cross combination.
Santos fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Santos uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Jones.
Jones gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.

That has opened up Angus Jones's cut even more.

Santos lands with a nice body punch.
Jones throws a hook to the side of Santos's head but Santos sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Nice sprawl there from Jones as Santos shoots in.
Jones showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Santos.
Santos uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.

Santos avoids the body shot from Jones.
A slow jab from Santos misses its intended target.
Jones throws a combination that misses
and Santos cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Jones throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Santos.
A shot to the body from Jones misses
and Santos counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Jones throws out a loose jab but Santos uses good head movement to avoid it.
Jones gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.

The cut above Angus Jones's eye is starting to cause him problems now.

and Santos counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Angus Jones's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
Jones has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Santos finds it's way round the side to connect with Jones's head.
Jones is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Santos rather than just go for the knockout.
Jones takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Jones tries to move into range but Santos moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Angus Jones's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
