Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Richard Fairfax (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lester Hayes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hayes has chosen Fallin' - Judgment Night Soundtrack as his entrance music. Richard Fairfax has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fairfax throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Hayes tries to clinch but Fairfax moves out of range.
Nice takedown defense from Hayes. No joy for Fairfax on that attempt.
Hayes delivers a nice body kick.
Hayes throws a quick inside leg kick.
Hayes wants to clinch.
Fairfax tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Hayes was well out of range. Poor timing from Fairfax.
Fairfax looks to land a left hand but Hayes moved out of range nicely.

Hayes closes the distance and pushes Fairfax back into the cage.
With the fighters up against the cage, Hayes throws an elbow but misses.

Hayes creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.
Hayes pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.

Fairfax lands a body shot in the clinch.

Fairfax's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Hayes is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Fairfax shoots in looking for a takedown. Hayes tries to sprawl out of it but Fairfax keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Hayes manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Fairfax looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Hayes is fending him off so far but Fairfax persists. Nope, Hayes circles away and we're back to standing.

Hayes rushes Fairfax and presses him up against the cage.
Hayes misses with an elbow strike.
With the two fighters working up against the cage, Hayes just misses with a elbow thrown towards Fairfax's brow.
Fairfax drops down looking for an ankle pick but Hayes pulls his leg out and moves away.
Hayes avoids the head kick by Fairfax.
Fairfax shoots in but Hayes avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Fairfax closes the distance but Hayes moves to the side
and Hayes makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Fairfax really felt that one!
Fairfax is breathing heavily.

Hayes has Fairfax up against the cage in a clinch.
Fairfax avoids the elbow strike from Hayes, against the cage.
With the fighters up against the cage, Hayes throws an elbow but misses.
Hayes throws an elbow but it's blocked.

Fairfax breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Hayes moves in looking to clinch but Fairfax pushes him off.
Richard Fairfax seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Fairfax avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Hayes goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.

Fairfax clinches but Hayes breaks the clinch
and Hayes counters with a head kick. That will keep Fairfax thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!
Hayes tries to close the distance and clinch but Fairfax swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Hayes throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Fairfax doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Hayes counters with a slapping leg kick.

Hayes misses with an attempted mid kick.
Hayes tries to clinch but fails miserably

and Fairfax counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Fairfax.
Fairfax will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Hayes is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Hayes is looking to sinch up a triangle. Fairfax throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Hayes's body to avoid the submission. Hayes has instead reached around Fairfax's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Hayes arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
