Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Benoit Yoshiyuzida (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Den Amsinghe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Benoit Yoshiyuzida!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Den Amsinghe!
The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Colin Fotheringham and Paul Tew.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yoshiyuzida looks to land a body kick but Amsinghe moved away.
Amsinghe shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Yoshiyuzida but Yoshiyuzida pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Some wild striking there from Yoshiyuzida.
Yoshiyuzida motions for Amsinghe to come forward. Yoshiyuzida throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Yoshiyuzida misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Yoshiyuzida bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Amsinghe is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Yoshiyuzida off and has taken his back!
Amsinghe just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.
I looks like Amsinghe might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
Yoshiyuzida holding both Amsinghe 's hands and preventing any damage.
Yoshiyuzida just trying to survive but Amsinghe is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish.
Yoshiyuzida wants to get back to his feet.

Yoshiyuzida is defending well here and trying to improve his position.
A bit of a pause in the action here. Amsinghe controlling the positon.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Yoshiyuzida is trying to get back to his feet but Amsinghe has full control of the position and if anything, Yoshiyuzida has just worked his way into a worse spot.
Yoshiyuzida tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!

Amsinghe controlling the pace for now.

Yoshiyuzida is breathing heavily.
Amsinghe looking to control and managing it successfully.
Let's hope that Amsinghe has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Amsinghe looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
Yoshiyuzida tries to get back to half guard but can't.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Amsinghe controlling the pace for now.

Despite being in the dominant position, Den Amsinghe just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Amsinghe misses with a takedown attempt - Yoshiyuzida sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Yoshiyuzida shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Amsinghe counters with a shoot takedown. Yoshiyuzida fights it but they end up in guard.
Yoshiyuzida is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Amsinghe is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Amsinghe works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Yoshiyuzida pushes Amsinghe off looking to stand but Amsinghe dives back in and keeps control.
Amsinghe is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Yoshiyuzida trying to keep hold of his opponent's head but Amsinghe manages to pass to mount!
Amsinghe content just to control the position here.

Amsinghe throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Yoshiyuzida was covering up waiting for the punch and Amsinghe finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Yoshiyuzida is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Amsinghe passes into half guard.
Yoshiyuzida tries to kick Amsinghe off but Amsinghe keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Yoshiyuzida wants to stand back up but Amsinghe manages to pass into side control.
Amsinghe controls the position from side control.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Amsinghe tries to advance to mount but can't.
Amsinghe advances nicely into full mount.
Amsinghe takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Yoshiyuzida tries to hold on but Amsinghe pushes him away.
Amsinghe sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
Yoshiyuzida is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

Amsinghe controlling from the full mount.
Yoshiyuzida is desperately trying to improve his position but Amsinghe has a good base and remains in mount.
Amsinghe controlling the pace for now.

Despite being in the dominant position, Den Amsinghe just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Yoshiyuzida throws a right hand that Amsinghe ducks under and follows up with a left that Amsinghe also avoids with ease.
Amsinghe fails with a takedown attempt.

Amsinghe wants to lay and pray for a moment but Yoshiyuzida keeps working.
Still in half guard, Amsinghe seems content to control.
Yoshiyuzida looks like he's trying to stand up.
Amsinghe slows the pace down in half guard.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Yoshiyuzida pushes Amsinghe off looking to stand but Amsinghe dives back in and keeps control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Den Amsinghe showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!


Yoshiyuzida stuffs the takedown attempt from Amsinghe. Amsinghe gets slowly back to his feet.
Yoshiyuzida closes the distance looking to clinch

and Amsinghe counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Yoshiyuzida wants to stand but Amsinghe is controlling the position.
Yoshiyuzida not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Amsinghe accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Amsinghe wants to control from the top but Yoshiyuzida keeps moving.
Amsinghe tries to free his leg and advance position but Yoshiyuzida is retaining full guard.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Yoshiyuzida tries to grapple but his opponent circles

and Amsinghe counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Amsinghe slows the pace down in half guard.
Yoshiyuzida manages to get to full guard.
Amsinghe stops Yoshiyuzida from standing up.
Den Amsinghe has got the better of the ground game so far.

Yoshiyuzida looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Amsinghe puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
Yoshiyuzida tries to get to full guard but Amsinghe has control of the leg.
Amsinghe looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Amsinghe works his way into full mount!

Yoshiyuzida tries to lock up and control but Amsinghe gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Amsinghe working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.
Yoshiyuzida tries to hold on but Amsinghe pushes him away.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Yoshiyuzida's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
Amsinghe controlling from mount.
Den Amsinghe is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Benoit Yoshiyuzida has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Amsinghe wants to control the pace but Yoshiyuzida is squirming around nicely.
Yoshiyuzida throwing hammer fists to the chest of Amsinghe. What's that going to do exactly?

Den Amsinghe comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
