The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
ortiz shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Smith as he avoids it easily.
Smith looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Smith slaps away a takedown attempt from ortiz, before circling back to the center of the mat.
A nice inside leg kick there by Smith. That's going to slow ortiz down.
Nice defenses there by Smith.
Smith gets cracked there but stands up to it.
It looks like Matt Smith has been cut.
A swing and a miss from ortiz.
ortiz waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Smith.
ortiz pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
ortiz throws the left hand but Smith avoids the punch easily.
ortiz moves out of range as Smith strikes.
ortiz drops a shoulder and throws a monster hook that connects perfectly to the side of Smith's head, knocking him out cold! ortiz is extatic as he celebrates with his cornermen.
