Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gray Hunter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jim Rough (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hunter comes to the cage accompanied by Dream Theater - Pull Me Under. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hunter jabs Rough right on the nose. Rough blinks but takes it well.

It looks like Jim Rough has been cut.
Rough changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Hunter tries to avoid it but Rough manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Hunter to the ground. Hunter escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Rough tries for a takedown but Hunter sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Rough looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Gray Hunter has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jim Rough.
Hunter uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Rough has time to react.
Hunter stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Hunter wants it to stay on the feet.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Hunter is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Rough wants to improve his position but Hunter is controlling well.
Hunter moves into full mount! Rough won't be happy about that!

Hunter lands with a nice combination. Rough backs away looking to recover.
Rough shoots for a takedown but Hunter saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Hunter stalks Rough and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Rough's face. Rough staggers backwards, shaken.

That has opened up Jim Rough's cut even more.

Rough misses with a takedown attempt - Hunter sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
A left and a right from Hunter both land. Nice combination.
Gray Hunter is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Hunter throws a series of strikes that have Rough backpedaling.

The cut above Jim Rough's eye is starting to cause him problems now.

Rough tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Hunter swivels and escapes.

Rough looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Hunter is fending him off so far but Rough persists. Nope, Hunter circles away and we're back to standing.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Jim Rough's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
Rough gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Hunter.

Rough drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Hunter dives on top into guard.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Hunter's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
