The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jackson shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Dre is trying to defend but Jackson finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Jackson takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Dre makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Dre.
Dre preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.

Dre uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Dre defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Jackson.
Dre is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Dre lands a nice hook to Jackson's body. Jackson takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

No luck for Jackson with that takedown attempt.
Jackson takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Dre swinging wildly here.
Jackson misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Jackson is breathing heavily.
Dre tries to clinch up but Jackson circles away and keeps his distance.
Dre digs a good hook to Jackson's body.

The fight stays on the outside here - Dre looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Dre throws a combination. Jackson tries to block but a couple of punches get through.

It looks like Quinton Jackson has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Dre tries to clinch but Jackson moves out of range.
Dre tries to clinch there but Jackson circles away.
Nice body punch from Dre.
Dre misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
A thudding body kick lands there by Dre!
Jackson steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Dre. That one must have hurt.

Dre throws a head kick but Jackson moves out of range.
Mink Dre is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Jackson swats away the attempt to clinch by Dre.
Jackson takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Dre throws a nice looking combination but Jackson bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Dre connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Jackson's hands.
Mink Dre seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Dre tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Dre tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Dre fails with an attempt to clinch.
Dre misses with a kick to the body.
Dre dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Jackson. That did some damage!
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Jackson checks a leg kick.
Dre scores with a jab to the body.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Nice combo by Dre! Oh, that's hurt him - Jackson falls to the canvas and Dre follows him into side control.

Jackson is rocked!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Dre is working to tighten is grip on Jackson's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Jackson has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Dre is really squeezing tight and eventually Jackson passes out! Dre breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
