Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Johny Bravo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Rob (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Johny Bravo!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 5 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Mike Rob!
The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Paul Aken and Paulsen Ambrosius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bravo throws a head kick that Rob semi-blocks.
Nice takedown defense from Rob. No joy for Bravo on that attempt.
Bravo really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Rob shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Bravo as he jumps to the side.

Bravo gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.

Rob breaks the clinch.
Johny Bravo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Bravo throws a head kick but Rob moves out of range.
Bravo throws a head kick that misses.
Rob looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Rob is defended easily by Bravo.

Bravo tries to clinch up but Rob circles away and keeps his distance.
Bravo tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Rob paws at him with a jab and circles away.

and Bravo counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Rob is looking to stand up but Bravo isn't so interested in that idea.
Rob is trying to hold Bravo in close to prevent damage but Bravo has managed to pass into half guard.
Rob is looking to improve his position.
Bravo wants to take a breather but Rob is having none of it.

Bravo sitting and controlling from the half guard.
Rob looks like he's trying to stand up.
Rob desperately trying to maintain half guard.
Rob has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Bravo is working away from the top position though.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Rob is looking to get back to full guard here but Bravo has managed to pass to side control instead.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Rob is looking to improve his position but Bravo isn't that keen on the idea.
Bravo throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Bravo trying to control but Rob is having none of it.

Bravo tries to control but Rob wriggling away.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Bravo doesn't manage to clinch there - Rob circles away.

Bravo knocks Rob to the floor with a head kick! Can he finish him!?
Rob is trying to control Bravo's posture but Bravo avoids it.
Rob wings away with a couple of strikes but they don't land.
Rob looks to move to half guard but instead Bravo has passed into mount! Damn!
Bravo looking to finish with strikes here!

Rob is desperately trying to improve his position but Bravo has a good base and remains in mount.
Bravo avoids the attempt from Rob to control.
Bravo looking to control but Rob is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Rob is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Bravo content just to control the position here.
Bravo's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Rob regains half guard.
Bravo wants to lay and pray for a moment but Rob keeps working.
Rob is pressing down on Bravo's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Rob wants to stand up but Bravo is controlling him.
Rob wants to control but Bravo passes easily into half guard.

Rob trying to control from the bottom.
Rob wants to get back to his feet.
Rob is breathing heavily.
Well, if Bravo is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Bravo tries to pass the half guard into mount. Rob knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Rob wants to control but Bravo is keeping busy.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Bravo is keen to just control but Rob is a slippery customer.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Bravo throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Rob sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Bravo fails with an attempt to clinch.

and Bravo counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Bravo is struggling to control the position.
Rob tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Bravo just stands there and leans against the cage.
Bravo has Rob pushed against the cage.

A head kick from Rob lands but Bravo takes it in his stride.
Rob throws a head kick that misses

and Bravo counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Bravo postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Rob wants to stand but Bravo is controlling the position.
Bravo stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Rob swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Rob working for submissions but it's allowed Bravo to get to half guard.
Rob takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Bravo missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
Rob works his way to full guard. Good work.
Bravo seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Bravo postures up in Rob's guard and throws a big left but Rob blocks it.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Rob wants to get back to his feet.
Rob bucks up and tries to throw Bravo off but instead Bravo has got his back!
Rob is covering up but some of the strikes from Bravo are getting through and doing damage.
Bravo is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.
Bravo scores with punches to the body.

Bravo struggling to land strikes to the head as Rob covers up.
Bravo lands a shot to the head.
Rob trying to control the position but Bravo manages to sink in the hooks.

Bravo is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Rob is defending well though. Bravo let's go of the attempt for now.
Bravo has the hooks in. Rob is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Bravo lands with a couple of good shots - one to the side of the head and one questionable shot that could be viewed as to the back of the head but the referee lets it go.
Rob is trapped and Bravo is scoring with shots to the head and body.
Bravo has his opponent trapped and is landing shots. Not a good position for Rob.
Bravo scores with some strikes to the side of the head there. Good, points scoring shots.
Bravo tries to get the hooks in deep but Rob pushed the leg off.
Johny Bravo overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.
Bravo scores with a nice shot to the head of his opponent. Rob is looking for a way out.
Rob looking very determined here, making life difficult for Bravo.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Rob jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Bravo walks away with a smile on his face. Rob gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Bravo closes this distance looking for a takedown but Rob circles away.

Rob has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

Bravo tries to close the distance and clinch but Rob swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Mike Rob is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Bravo crunches a lovely knee into Rob's ribcage.

Rob wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Bravo connects with a nasty looking knee right to Rob's face.


Rob is rocked!
Bravo lands with a short shot to the head.
Rob is still on wobbly legs! Can Bravo finish him?
Rob is trying to break the clinch but Bravo has him pressed against the cage.
Bravo is stalling here.
Bravo connects with a knee to the head.
Rob is pressed against the cage. Bravo pushes back and unleashes a big elbow that really hurts Rob! Two more big strikes from Bravo and Rob crumples to the mat and taps out furiously due to the strikes!
