Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice sprawl there from Killstein as comton shoots in.

comton looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
comton is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Killstein!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Killstein is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
comton can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Killstein is looking to escape.

comton swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Killstein is now in comton's guard. A big mistake from comton there, giving up the dominant position!

comton working for a triangle but Killstein defends it easily.

comton working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Killstein doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Killstein manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Killstein works over comton with some ground and pound from guard.
Killstein tries to stand but comton is controlling from the bottom.

Killstein keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of comton's head.

comton throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Killstein escapes and throws comton's legs to the side, diving into side control!

Killstein looks up at the clock and then as comton takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Killstein smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
comton manages to get back to half guard.
Killstein looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks comton with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Killstein trying to control the action but comton is working from the bottom.
Killstein blocks the strikes from comton.
comton is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Killstein's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Killstein's back!

comton is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Killstein has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.

Killstein fending off the submission attempt from comton.
comton is trying to control but Killstein is trying to escape here - he's now mounted.

comton goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Killstein is on top in guard.

comton had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Killstein defends it easily.
comton is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Killstein is looking to stand up but comton won't let him.

comton is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
comton controls Killstein momentarily but Killstein frees himself.
Killstein working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
comton keeping moving, preventing Killstein from controlling successfully.
Killstein trying to stand up but can't free himself from comton's guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Killstein stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Killstein wants it to stay on the feet.
comton fails to land the takedown.
A slapping body kick lands there for Killstein.
Roy Killstein is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Killstein rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but comton moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

comton slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
comton is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

comton working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Killstein doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Killstein manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Killstein gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

and Killstein counters with a left and a right that stings comton.
Roy Killstein has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of dave comton.

comton tries for a takedown but Killstein circles away easily
and comton takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

and Killstein counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. comton is lucky that one didn't land flush.
Killstein looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

comton shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than comton was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

comton is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Killstein has managed to escape the submission attempt.

dave comton has got the better of the ground game so far.

comton goes for an armbar but Killstein turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Killstein.

comton is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Killstein has his hands clasped together but comton extends an breaks Killstein's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by comton.
