Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mauricio Rua (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Don Daddio (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Mauricio Rua!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A punch combination from Daddio misses.
Rua moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Rua tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Daddio was well out of range. Poor timing from Rua.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Rua!
Rua fails to land with a series of punches.
Daddio looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Rua lands a two punch combo.
Daddio walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Rua misses with an attempted mid kick.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Rua has had enough of the clinch but Daddio keeps him there for the moment.

Daddio breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
An inside leg kick lands from Rua.
Daddio has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Rua finds it's way round the side to connect with Daddio's head.
Daddio tries to bum rush Rua with a series of wild strikes but Rua uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Daddio misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Daddio fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Rua sprawls well initially but Daddio persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Daddio seems to be working for a kimura but Rua defends the submission attempt.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Daddio is looking to advance position but Rua won't allow it.
Rua is looking to improve his position.
Rua wants to get back to his feet.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Daddio seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Rua does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Rua tries to get to full guard but Daddio has control of the leg.
Rua regains full guard. Nicely done.
Rua controls Daddio momentarily but Daddio frees himself.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Daddio closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Rua lands a high kick!
Rua chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Rua connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.

Daddio looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.

Daddio seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Rua is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
