Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Guido Valutekitaja (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Clarence Thomas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Valutekitaja comes to the cage accompanied by PIzazz - Gonna Give It To Ya!. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Valutekitaja avoids the head kick by Thomas.
Thomas wants to clinch.
Thomas stuffs the takedown attempt from Valutekitaja. Valutekitaja gets slowly back to his feet.
Thomas throws the left hand but Valutekitaja avoids the punch easily.
Valutekitaja throws a leg kick but Thomas sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Thomas throws a hook but Valutekitaja blocks it.
Valutekitaja shoots in for a double leg but Thomas sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Thomas moves out of range of the body kick.

Valutekitaja clinches.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Thomas breaks the clinch.
Thomas lands an overhand right.

It looks like Guido Valutekitaja has been cut.
Valutekitaja shoots in looking for a takedown. Thomas tries to sprawl out of it but Valutekitaja keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Thomas manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Guido Valutekitaja. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Thomas lands a big uppercut and Valutekitaja crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Valutekitaja looks OK.

Valutekitaja is rocked!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Thomas prevents Valutekitaja from improving his position.
Thomas really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Valutekitaja. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Thomas tries to stand but can't do so whilst Valutekitaja controls his leg.
Valutekitaja wants to get back to full guard.
Thomas tries to pass the half guard into mount. Valutekitaja knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Valutekitaja is looking to control Thomas's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Valutekitaja avoid being mounted?
Thomas is taking a breather. Valutekitaja says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Valutekitaja is breathing heavily.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Thomas throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Valutekitaja fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Thomas, pushing him back against the cage.
Thomas lands on the inside with an uppercut.
Thomas has Valutekitaja pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Valutekitaja manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
The is referee keeping an eye on Thomas - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

Thomas breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Thomas tries to clinch there but Valutekitaja circles away.
Valutekitaja closes the distance and clinches up with Thomas, looking for a takedown. Valutekitaja pushes Thomas against the cage but Thomas circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Thomas darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Thomas is looking to take a break and control but Valutekitaja is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Valutekitaja is looking to improve his position.
Thomas stalling.
Thomas's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

Thomas wants to stand up but Valutekitaja is controlling the position.
Valutekitaja moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

Thomas has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Valutekitaja to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Thomas is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Valutekitaja pulls down on the head and he's put Thomas to sleep! This one is all over!
