Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Michael Correa!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Pablo Casuo!
The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Alexandre Firmino and Emerson Jorge.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Correa misses with a takedown attempt - Casuo sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Casuo throws a series of punches but Correa moves out of range.

Casuo closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Correa tries to improve position but can't.
Correa being controlled for a moment.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Casuo in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.

Casuo is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Correa has escaped the position, nice work there.

Casuo thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Correa tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Casuo wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Casuo tries for a kimura but Correa is defending well.

Casuo tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Casuo has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Correa takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.

Correa gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.

Casuo is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Casuo seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Casuo wants to take a breather but Correa is having none of it.

Correa actively working from the bottom here.
Correa is breathing heavily.
Casuo is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
Casuo looking to control and managing it successfully.

Casuo lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Casuo scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Correa?
Casuo is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Correa can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Casuo lands a nice shot to the head.
Casuo trying to control but he's not successful this time.

Correa defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Casuo.
Casuo connects with a couple of good shots from mount.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Casuo is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Correa can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Correa is trying to escape the mount.
Correa is bucking up trying to escape but Casuo cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Casuo landing strikes from the mount and Correa is in trouble!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Casuo pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.


Correa is rocked!
Casuo connects with a bit shot that sees Correa covering up! More strikes from Casuo and the referee jumps in to stop the fight! Casuo is our winner by TKO!
