The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A left lands for Paladin.
Wayland changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Paladin tries to avoid it but Wayland manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Paladin to the ground. Paladin escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Wayland fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Paladin avoids it really well and circles away.
Ludo Wayland seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Paladin clobbers Wayland with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Paladin displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Wayland.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ludo Wayland. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Nice sprawl there from Paladin as Wayland shoots in.
Paladin thuds a left hand into Wayland's body.

Paladin lands with a big left! Wayland is wobbled badly! Paladin comes in with a flurry of punches and drops Wayland to the floor. The ref jumps in to save him from unneccessary punishment.
