Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jose Hosebie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ule Brennerd (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jose Hosebie!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Ule Brennerd!
The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Wagner Zegers and Saam Ante.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brennerd fails with an attempt to clinch.

Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Hosebie feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Brennerd can't keep his opponent in guard - Hosebie advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Hosebie shoots in looking for a takedown. Brennerd tries to sprawl out of it but Hosebie keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Brennerd manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Hosebie bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Brennerd dodges the ground and pound from Hosebie.

Hosebie jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Brennerd is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Brennerd and Hosebie has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Hosebie accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Hosebie throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Brennerd's waist but Brennerd gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Hosebie off to one side.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Hosebie shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Brennerd but Brennerd pushes him off and we're back to square one.

That was a close second round but I would say that Jose Hosebie will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!


Hosebie fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Brennerd avoids it really well and circles away.

Hosebie closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Hosebie is looking to take a break and control but Brennerd is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Brennerd wants to get back to his feet.

Hosebie has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Brennerd keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Brennerd is not content to let Hosebie control the position.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Hosebie connects with a nice short shot to Brennerd's temple.

Hosebie is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Brennerd has managed to free his arm - good work.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Hosebie tries to pass the half guard into mount. Brennerd knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

Hosebie looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Ule Brennerd has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Hosebie throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Hosebie, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
