The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fighters circle momentarily. Jarvela darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Jarvela throws a body punch but syrjala moves out of range.
Jarvela cracks syrjala with an open hand slap.
Nice defenses there by syrjala.
Jarvela keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
syrjala scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Jarvela doesn't seem bothered though.

syrjala changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Jarvela looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Jarvela tries to bum rush syrjala with a series of wild strikes but syrjala uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Jarvela is defended easily by syrjala.
Jarvela throws a right and a left that both miss.
syrjala has Jarvela up against the cage in a clinch.
syrjala breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Jarvela scores with a one two! syrjala had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
syrjala is rocked!
Juhani Jarvela seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Crack! Jarvela connects with the perfect overhand right and syrjala falls face first to the canvas. Timbeeeeeeeer! Beautiful knockout for Jarvela!
