Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mauricio Rua (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Willian Detonator (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Willian Detonator has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Mauricio Rua's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Willian Detonator!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Donald Grub and Andrew Berry.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Detonator tries to clinch but Rua is having none of it.
Some wild striking there from Detonator.
Detonator lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Rua circles away quickly and effectively.
Rua defending well as Detonator loads up on a big left hand.

Rua feints and as Detonator raises his hands in defense, Rua changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Rua thows a big elbow that misses.
Rua throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Detonator works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Detonator working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Rua.
Detonator preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Rua throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Detonator avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Rua postures up in Detonator's guard and throws a big left but Detonator blocks it.
Rua scoring with some ground and pound.
Rua throws a strike but Detonator rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Detonator wants to stand and escape but instead Rua has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Rua trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Detonator utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Detonator has momentary wrist control but Rua slips an elbow through the middle.
Rua stops Detonator from standing up.

Detonator kicks Rua off and gets to his feet.

Rua shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Detonator napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Check out the look on Rua's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Rua misses with the ground and pound.

Rua has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Detonator is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Rua yanks on the arm and Detonator is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Rua.
