The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Simeone shoots for a double leg takedown but Amber sprawls well. He's pushed Simeone's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Simeone tries to score with some ground and pound. Amber controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Simeone tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Simeone has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Simeone is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Amber knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Amber knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Simeone on the ground.
Simeone is not going to allow Amber to sit and survive in this position.

Simeone is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Amber has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
