The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rivera slips under a jab from Long.
Long throws a looping overhand right but Rivera ducks down to avoid it.
Rivera misses with a takedown attempt - Long sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Long tries to clinch there but Rivera circles away.

Long tries to keep at a distance but Rivera has taken the fight into the clinch.
Long is trying to break free.

Rivera gets a trip takedown into half guard.
Rivera is looking to take a break and control but Long is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Rivera is looking to stall here but Long recovers full guard.
Rivera wants to control from the top but Long keeps moving.

Rivera got a little sloppy there for a moment and Long has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Rivera has managed to get both his arms back between Long's legs - danger averted.

Long has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Rivera can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Long is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a tringle but Rivera frees his head nicely. Oh but Long has switched to an armbar! Rivera is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
