The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Beam checks a leg kick.
Jack Beam seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Drake just misses with a punch to the body.
A big left from Beam misses.
Beam throws a good cross that connects.
Beam walks into a left hand.
Beam is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Drake.
Drake swings for the body but Beam moves out of range.
Beam takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.

and Drake counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Beam thinking.

Beam shoots in for a takedown but Drake shows good takedown defense.

Drake feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Beam sprawling to the canvas! Beam rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Drake finish him?!
