Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Fou Freedomfighter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sohan Riddle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sohan Riddle has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Fou Freedomfighter!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Sohan Riddle!
The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, John Mangel and Bruno Hogan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Riddle scoring well with a low kick there.

Freedomfighter scores with a takedown into Riddle's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Riddle wants to stand but Freedomfighter is controlling the position.
Freedomfighter wants to control from the top but Riddle keeps moving.

Freedomfighter looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Riddle makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Riddle.
Riddle seems keen to control Freedomfighter's posture.

Freedomfighter drops back looking for a leg! Riddle is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Riddle manages to kick Freedomfighter off! Freedomfighter jumps back into Riddle's guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Riddle can't keep his opponent in guard - Freedomfighter advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Freedomfighter wants to lay and pray for a moment but Riddle keeps working.
Freedomfighter working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Freedomfighter is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Freedomfighter seems to be working for a kimura but Riddle defends the submission attempt.

Freedomfighter really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Riddle takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.

Freedomfighter tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Freedomfighter has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Riddle bucks up and tries to throw Freedomfighter off but instead Freedomfighter has got his back!

Freedomfighter looking to break Riddle's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Riddle remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Freedomfighter will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!

Freedomfighter is looking for the choke from the back position but Riddle is controlling his hands well.
Freedomfighter doesn't have the hooks in and Riddle manages to turn into his guard.
Riddle stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Freedomfighter swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Riddle wanted to stand there but Freedomfighter had control of the position.
Riddle not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Let's hope that Riddle has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Riddle has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Freedomfighter is proving hard to escape from.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Fou Freedomfighter will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Riddle lands a head kick that stumbles Freedomfighter and the fighters go to the mat.

It looks like Fou Freedomfighter has been cut.
Riddle loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Oh Freedomfighter is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Still in the clinch, Riddle scores with a nice short uppercut.

Freedomfighter has Riddle pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Freedomfighter pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Riddle tumbling to the mat - Freedomfighter dives into Riddle's guard.

Freedomfighter is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Riddle has managed to escape the submission attempt.

Riddle is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

Freedomfighter is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Riddle can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
