Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jabari Jelani!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Fabrisio Valetudo!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, and Frank Antenori.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jelani rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Valetudo moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Valetudo fails with the takedown.
Jelani loads up on a big right hand but Valetudo slips the punch.
Valetudo shoots for a takedown but Jelani saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Jelani cracks Valetudo with a right hand to the side of the head.

It looks like Fabrisio Valetudo has been cut.

Jelani bobbing and weaving well here. And he's unloaded with a massive right hand that drops Valetudo! He dives into his guard looking to finish!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Valetudo is looking for a triangle here but Jelani uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.

Valetudo seems a little lost for a moment, as Jelani dominates the positioning.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Valetudo tries to contro but end up mounted... ooooh, that's bad.
Valetudo is working to get back to half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Valetudo wants to hold on but Jelani pushes him away.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Valetudo is looking to improve his position but Jelani isn't that keen on the idea.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Valetudo shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Jelani defends it nicely.

A jab-cross combination lands for Jelani and sends Valetudo crashing to the mat! Jelani follows him down to the mat - Valetudo regains half guard but he's not out of trouble yet!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Jelani in particular looking to stall.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Valetudo wants to get back to his feet.

Jelani is controlling the pace.
Valetudo won't allow Jelani to pass to mount.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Valetudo is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Jelani pulls his head out easily.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Valetudo tries to score a power double leg takedown but Jelani sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Valetudo somewhat.

Valetudo ducks straight into an uppercut from Jelani and tumbles to the canvas! It’s a flash knockdown though - Valetudo manages to regain guard straight away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jelani misses with a two punch combination.
Jelani lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

That has opened up Fabrisio Valetudo's cut even more.
A swing and a miss from Jelani.
Jelani rushes Valetudo with punches - Valetudo moves straight backwards instead of circling and gets clipped by the second strike... and the third... and the fourth! Oh, Valetudo goes down! Jelani follows up with more strikes and the ref steps in to end the bout!
