Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Raul Sanchez!
The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Matheus Silva and Luis Engracia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Schneider misses with a two punch combination.
Schneider tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Sanchez swivels and escapes.
Sanchez throws a head kick but Schneider moves out of range.

Schneider has managed to clinch.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Schneider creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Sanchez avoids the elbow strike from Schneider, against the cage.
Schneider lands on the inside with an uppercut.
Schneider is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Sanchez is defending well for now.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Sanchez jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Schneider walks away with a smile on his face. Sanchez gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Schneider looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Sanchez is fending him off so far but Schneider persists. Nope, Sanchez circles away and we're back to standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Max Schneider. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Sanchez has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Schneider swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Schneider throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Max Schneider seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Schneider loads up on a big right hand but Sanchez slips the punch.

Schneider tightens his grip and picks Sanchez up, before dumping him to the ground. Sanchez manages to land in guard.

Sanchez has hold of Schneider's hands but Schneider slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Sanchez is still in real trouble! Can Schneider finish him?
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Schneider is sitting in half guard. He's postured up and lands a nice elbow. Oh, Sanchez is hurt! He's hurt bad - Schneider fires away with more strikes and the referee jumps in to save Sanchez from any more punishment! Congratulations to Schneider! Great finish!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:05 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Max Schneider!
