Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Travis Cole!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Chuck Richardson!
The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Matti Vanhoillinen and Arvi Lind.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Cole closes the distance and pushes Richardson back into the cage.

Cole breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Cole is looking to clinch.
Horrible takedown by Richardson or perhaps it was just good defense by Cole which made him look bad.
Cole stuffs the takedown attempt from Richardson. Richardson gets slowly back to his feet.

Richardson is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Cole is just riding it out for now. Richardson eventually gives up the hold.

Cole manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Richardson manages to get himself to full guard.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Richardson seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

Cole stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Richardson swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Cole is breathing heavily.
Richardson holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Despite being in the dominant position, Chuck Richardson just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Richardson feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Richardson working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Cole doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Cole manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Chuck Richardson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.


Cole shoots in looking for a takedown. Richardson tries to sprawl out of it but Cole keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Richardson manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Let's hope that Richardson has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Richardson is dominating on the ground here - he's now on his opponent's back, looking to sink in the hooks. Cole is in real trouble.
