The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
irsis misses with a looping left.
Horrible takedown by Ekman or perhaps it was just good defense by irsis which made him look bad.
Ekman tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but irsis swivels and escapes.
irsis throws a lazy right hand but Ekman sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Ekman dives in and grabs irsis's left leg, looking for a takedown. irsis pushes down on Ekman's head and hops out.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Niclas Ekman. That's going to take a lot out of him.
The fighters circling - irsis throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
max sirokov irsis seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ekman blocks a jab.

irsis throws a left that rocks Ekman and follows with a right that sends him tumbling to the canvas! irsis dives into side control, looking to finish! Can Ekman regain composure!

Ekman is rocked!

It looks like Niclas Ekman has been cut.

irsis stands up and beckons Ekman to his feet.
Ekman shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says irsis as he avoids it easily.
irsis throws the left hand but Ekman avoids the punch easily.
irsis throws a series of punches but Ekman moves out of range.
Ekman moves out of range as irsis strikes.
irsis dips to his left and cracks Ekman with an uppercut!
A slow jab from irsis misses its intended target.
irsis misses the jab.
Ekman closes the distance and clinches up with irsis, looking for a takedown. Ekman pushes irsis against the cage but irsis circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Ekman is breathing heavily.

irsis drops Ekman with a straight right hand, right on the button! irsis follows him down to the mat and pounds him out with hammerfists until the referee jumps in to end the fight!
